Hosting a CUKC-sanctioned event is an opportunity to bring the canine community together – but it also comes with responsibility.
Host an Event
When you host a show, trial, competition, or other CUKC-sanctioned activity, you are representing CUKC and helping shape the experience of every dog, handler, exhibitor, judge, and spectator who attends.
Hosts are expected to plan and conduct their events responsibly, with particular attention to canine welfare, safety, fair competition, qualified officials, suitable facilities, and compliance with CUKC rules and requirements.
From selecting an appropriate venue and organizing the event committee to arranging judges, equipment, veterinary and emergency procedures, entries, schedules, and results, every part of the event should be properly planned and managed. CUKC is here to support you. We provide the framework, requirements, and guidance needed to help approved hosts organize successful events while maintaining the standards expected of CUKC-sanctioned activities.
